Case Submission Guidelines


  1. Cases should be prepared by Microsoft Word software using Times New Roman in a 12-point font size. Set tabs setting to 0.5”, so that the first line of a paragraph is indented by the amount (except the first paragraph after the title, first level sub-headings and second level sub-headings). Margins should be set at 1” at the top and 1.25” at the bottom, left and right.

  2. The title first level sub-headings and second level sub-headings should be printed in 16, 14 and 12-point type respectively.

  3. The first page of the case contains:
    • The title - centered and typed on the fourth line from the top, after having dropped 2 lines.
    • The author’s name (first name and last name without titles), centered on the next line.
    • The author’s affiliation (institution names) centered on the next line.
    • City, state and country drop four lines.

  4. The second page contains the title of the case, to be followed by the sub-headings/ beginning of the case text. Only title and first level sub-headings should be in capital letters and boldfaced.

  5. Figures and Tables should appear within the body of the paper and should be numbered consecutively.

  6. Exhibits/Appendices, if used, should follow the body of the paper or appear after the references.

  7. Each case must be accompanied by an Instructor’s (Teaching) Guide, which should include the following:
    Synopsis
    Objectives
    Target Group
    Suggested Questions
    Case Leading Strategies
    Analysis
    Suggested Alternatives
    A summary of what actually happened (if known)

  8. The case should not exceed 30 double-spaced pages of A4 size using Times New Roman in a 12-point font size.

  9. Completed cases must be sent with a registration fee of RM50.00 (Fifty Ringgit only) to the Case-Writers’ Association Malaysia (CWAM).
